Pontotoc Ridge Winter Bird Count

Deep Fork Audubon helped with the Pontotoc Ridge Winter Bird Count yesterday. Our team (Deane, Becky, Br. Damian, and I) observed these species along our route on the hiking trail:
Wild Turkey, Black Vulture, Turkey Vulture, Red-tailed Hawk, Barred Owl, Red-bellied Woodpecker, Northern Flicker, Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, Downy Woodpecker, Hairy Woodpecker, Pileated Woodpecker, Blue Jay, American Crow, Tufted Titmouse, Carolina Chickadee, White-breasted Nuthatch, Brown Creeper, Carolina Wren, Savannah Sparrow, Song Sparrow, Harris’s Sparrow, White-throated Sparrow, White-crowned Sparrow, Dark-eyed Junco, Northern Cardinal, and American Goldfinch.
