Lake Hefner

Pelicans at Lake Hefner. Water levels are very low! We also saw a phalarope here, but it went away. Duck species seen from this spot include Green-winged Teal, N. Shoveler, Common Goldeneye,  Bufflehead, pochards,  Mallards…

highline wire bird party

Greetings Deep Fork, Had to share this happy party guest list, all spotted together on our utility wire in mid-September: 5 Ea. Bluebirds, 2 Scissortails, 1 Lark Sparrow, 1 Eastern Kingbird, and 1 Mourning Dove. Quite a sight!
